Vaasa XXVII Choir Festival
Vaasa Choir Festival is a big five days event of international vocal and choir music open to every choir and vocal ensemble. The festival is held every year in mid-May. Around 100 concerts are performed around the Vaasa city and region during the festival. You can hear vocal and choir music in churches, concert halls, schools and restaurants.
In 2002 the Vaasa Choir Festival has been accepted as a member of Finland Festivals group and in 2005 became member of the IFCM (International Federation of Choral Music). Top national and international choirs and vocal ensembles are invited as main performers. Every year between 2000-3000 singers from Finland and the rest of the world participate in the festival.
